The concept of purity in Islam:


Defining purity, both linguistically and legally


- Defining purity in language Purity is defined in language as cleanliness, safety, and freedom from dirt and dirt; Be it physical or emotional

- Defining purity according to Islamic law: Purity is defined in the legal terminology as the rise and demise of an impurity, malignancy, or impurity; Using water, or dirt, and they are: the permissible purification and purity are also defined as the removal of the characteristic that prevents prayer, occurring in the body.

Purity Conditions:


 Several things are required for purity, some of which are explained below:


Islam: Purification is not obligatory except for a Muslim. The mind is not obligated to purify the insane, or the unconscious, unless their condition changes, unlike the drunk; Purity is obligatory for him, and it is not waived from him in any case.


Puberty is defined by five signs: wet dreams, menstruation, pregnancy, hair growth, and reaching the legally determined age. Purification is not required for a boy, except that it is commanded for seven years.


- Being free from menstruation and postpartum bleeding, a woman must purify herself that menstruation or postpartum bleeding ceases.


The beginning of the time when purification is required by the beginning of the time of worship for which purity is a condition.


Not forgetting, as the one who forgets will not be held accountable for his forgetfulness, except that it entails making up for it when he is remembered, according to the consensus of scholars.


Lack of sleep, the sleeper will not be held accountable, and the judiciary will result from him.


- No compulsion, so the compulsion is not held accountable for what he was compelled to do, and the judiciary will result in him.


Availability of water or pure soil, as purification is required for the one who finds water or pure soil.


Ability, as it is necessary to have the ability and ability as much as possible.


Types of purity:


 There are three types of purity:


Purification from sin and sins.


Purification from sensory impurity; Any of the impurities, such as blood, feces, and urine, and this type is not purified except with water that is pure to the public, and it is by washing it until it is completely removed.


Purification is from the two major and minor impurities, the major impurity such as the emission of semen, postpartum, menstruation, and the absence of the glans in the vulva, whether it was anal or before, even if semen did not ejaculate, and in these cases, ghusl is obligatory, as well as purification from minor impurity, which is what is required of the A person performs ablution because of it, such as something coming out of one of the two tracts, whether it is defecating, urinating, or many, or touching the vulva with the palm.
